The Artists of Mitchell Wagon Factory Lofts have abandoned their home galleries for a temporary opportunity to exhibit at the RAC. “Paintin Our Wagon” is a fun and eclectic example of the people as well as the art styles representing the diverse occupants of the artist lofts at 815 8th Street. Ranging in age from early 20’s to “none of our business” … the artists of Mitchell Lofts and their friends present a colorful and diverse show of medium and techniques.
Artists participating in this show include: Perry Rossmiller, a photographer with a unique eye for the beauty we may not see without his help; newcomer to the group Benjamin Borndahl who’s illustrative style shows well in the oils and charcoals he is exhibiting; Nicki Garard Posnanski, an emerging artist and Parkside student, is exhibiting several paintings and prints; Laura Bernett, art spanning from the 1970’s to today, is showing both fashion design and decorative paintings, Shelley Behling has whimsical clay flora and wall hangings that are always admired by all; Sherri Myers Wray who wavers between mediums to find the perfect instrument for her animal images, C.J. Larson offering handmade rose petal rosaries and whimsical recyclable art and Rachel Benson who follows her own lead mixing mediums and messages to entertain visually.
