Main Gallery
Main Gallery, a program of the City of Racine, is a paid summer employment program for young artists age ages 14-18, allowing them the opportunity to work with practicing artists, to develop new art skills/techniques, and to receive valuable job experience. Art projects may include furniture painting, photography, sculpture, and more. There is no cost associated with the program; all supplies are provided. A limited number of positions are available based on funding and donors/sponsors.
Racine Art Councils partners with the city to help organize the Main Gallery Chair-i-ties program, an annual fundraiser which auctions off the work of the Main Gallery artists.
Questions regarding the Main Gallery program may be directed to Jason Mars at (262) 636-9454 or the PRCS office at (262) 636-9131.
